• A student can add classes without penalty until 11:59 PM EST on the Sunday before classes start. Adding classes after this deadline will incur a late registration fee.
• Students who drop their courses may need to petition for a leave of absence to maintain an active student status. Explore the continuous enrollment policy.
• Students in 13-week courses may drop their courses through the end of the fourth week of classes without academic penalty.
  • Courses dropped during the first two weeks of the semester will have 100% of the tuition charges cancelled.
  • During weeks 3-5, courses dropped are subject to the university refund schedule, which governs the prorated cancellation of semester tuition charges in cases of program adjustment or withdrawal.
  • After the fourth week of classes, a dropped course in a 13-week course is considered a withdrawal and a notation of 'W' will appear on the transcript. Students may withdraw from a 13-week course through the end of the tenth week of classes. Withdrawals after the tenth week of classes require a petition to the Health Sciences Dean's Office.
• Students in 6, 8 or 10-week courses may drop their courses through the end of the second week of classes without academic penalty.
  • Courses dropped during the first week of the semester will have 100% of the tuition charges cancelled (8 and 10-week).
  • During weeks 2-3, courses dropped are subject to the university refund schedule, which governs the prorated cancellation of semester tuition charges in cases of program adjustment or withdrawal (8 and 10-week).
  • After the second week of classes, a dropped course in a 6, 8 or 10-week course is considered a withdrawal and a notation of 'W' will appear on the transcript. Students may withdraw from a 6, 8 or 10-week course through the end of the fourth week of classes. Withdrawals after the fourth week of classes require a petition to the Health Sciences Dean's Office.
