Tyler Bahoravitch

Class of 2024

Tyler studied at Southern Utah University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He spent the next five years working as an ICU nurse and has continued working during medical school and the pandemic. As a non-traditional student, he completed the Postbaccalaureate program at The George Washington University (GWU). During his first year of school, he also became a father and has fallen in love with this new role of “papa”. He was elected as a Curriculum Representative and has assisted in developing curriculum related content. One of which was a coaching program that will be rolled out for upcoming classes. With his position on Student Council, he also finds time to serve his local community, be a part of the Orthopedic Surgery Interest & Research Group and be the recipient of the Health Scholars Scholarship. Tyler has been very pleased in the numerous opportunities GWU has provided its students within research, leadership, academics, and service. While Tyler didn’t elect a scholarly concentration, he knew his time would be well spent cultivating new skills serving in various leadership and academic positions. GWU provides many immersive experiences to foster a sense of community and belonging. This not only effectively prepares students for being a provider but, one with an active role within the community they choose to serve. GWU truly supports and believes that the role of a physician is that of a citizen-physician.
