The Dean’s Staff Advisory Committee was formed in January of 2025 with the charge to improve the staff experience within the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) by analyzing findings from recent staff surveys and feedback from the SMHS Staff Retreat and providing actionable recommendations to the SMHS Dean, with the ultimate aim of increasing staff engagement and well-being. The SAC will act as a bridge between SMHS staff and school leadership, ensuring that staff voices are heard and that the retreat leads to tangible, positive change.
The Committee has reviewed findings and begun development and implementation of several initiatives in direct response to staff feedback from surveys. We will provide period updates through virtual communications like the SMHS eNewsletter, Town Halls, and mass emails.
