The Office of Student Life and Academic Support is an office tasked with providing academic support services and improving the GW student experience. The faculty and staff are highly dedicated to the success of students. The office can provide learning and study skills assessment and is a resource for other support services. Appointments are available face-to-face or virtually.

Want to assess your learning and study skills? The Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) provides individualized diagnostic and prescriptive feedback about learning and study skills essential for strategic learning. Schedule an appointment with the Office of Student Life and Academic Support at raisehighHS@gwu.edu to learn more about the LASSI.
Peer and Group Tutoring
The Office of Student Life and Academic Support is exploring the option of providing peer and group tutoring. We are looking for motivated students who have demonstrated academic excellence and have a strong desire to help their peers.
If you are interested, request an application to become a Peer Tutor. If your application is considered, you will be invited for an interview. If you have any questions or wish to request an application, contact the Office of Student Life and Academic Support by email at raisehighHS@gwu.edu.

There are several academic support services offered through the University’s Multicultural Student Services Center (MSSC). Some of those services include the Writing Center, GW libraries, and Disability Support Services.
Disability Support Services
Disability Support Services (DSS) works with students, faculty, and staff to foster academic excellence. Services include, but are not limited to, providing reasonable accommodations through a variety of services and programs and strategic skills assistance.

Need assistance with your writing or research projects? The University Writing Center is staffed with writing consultants to assist students and faculty with strengthening writing skills. Consultation, whether in person or virtual, is available from the brainstorming phase through polishing a manuscript for publication. In addition to its main location in Gelman Library, there are four satellite locations -- Eckles Library, Himmelfarb Library, Ashburn Campus, and the Multicultural Student Services Center -- where free services are provided. Drop-ins are welcome, but slots fill up quickly.

DegreeMAP
DegreeMAP is the University’s online advising and degree auditing tool used by students and their advisors to track progress toward degree completion. It is available through the GWeb Information System.
Once you are in the GWeb system, go to Student Records & Registration, then Student Records Information Menu, then click on DegreeMAP.
Office of Academic Integrity
The Office of Academic Integrity addresses academic dishonesty, administers disciplinary procedures outlined in the Code of Academic Integrity, and promotes academic integrity through various educational initiatives. Student Success Workshops
The Office of Student Support and Family Engagement (SSFE) offers a series of Student Success Workshops each semester aimed at assisting students in improving skills and providing tips and tricks for being a successful student.
