The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences invites all M.D. program students, Ph.D. students in the Integrated Biomedical Sciences program, Health Sciences students, Residents, and Fellows to showcase their work through the submission of abstracts and posters for presentation at the GW SMHS Research Showcase. Awards will be presented to participants in each of the programs for outstanding abstract and poster presentations.
All participants are encouraged to present their research regardless of the area of focus. The Research Showcase is designed to highlight the breadth of research and scholarly activity accomplished by students during their education at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. We look forward to abstract submissions representing a broad range of research interests and disciplines, including basic, clinical and translational science, health equity, justice, diversity and inclusion research, health policy and public health research, and education-focused research.
Health Sciences student posters can be viewed at the Research Showcase and student presentations can be heard by scanning the QR code on each poster. Health Sciences students who choose to be considered for an award will present at one of several virtual events before April 25th.
The GW SMHS Research Showcase will be held on Thursday, April 25th, 2024 from 9am – 5pm. The Showcase is planned as an in-person event with poster sessions at the University Student Center, with a keynote talk from a distinguished plenary speaker and selected student oral presentations of their work.
Abstracts submissions are due by March 1st, 2024. All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend this Research Showcase!
