Donald H. Glew Prize

The Donald H. Glew Prize is awarded every year to the medical student with the best abstract and poster presentation at Medical Student Research Day. This endowment was established by William B. Glew, MD '53 as memorial to his brother, Dr. Donald H. Glew, MD, a graduate of the MD Class of 1948.

This year’s awardee is Preeyanka Rao, MSII for her abstract and poster entitled, “Comparison of Asthma Utilizations across Different Medicaid Insurance Plans in the District of Columbia

Preeyanka’s mentor for this project was Shilpa J. Patel, MD, MPH, associate professor of pediatrics and of emergency medicine, and medical director of IMPACT DC Asthma Clinic.
