The Donald H. Glew Prize is awarded every year to the medical student with the best abstract and poster presentation at Medical Student Research Day. This endowment was established by William B. Glew, MD '53 as memorial to his brother, Dr. Donald H. Glew, MD, a graduate of the MD Class of 1948.
This year’s awardees are Christopher Oltorik and Aalap Herur-Raman for their abstract and poster entitled, “3D Printing in Surgical Education: A Visuospatial and Kinesthetic Learning Module of Inguinal Hernia Repair for Third Year Medical Students”
Christopher and Aalap’s mentor for this project was Dr. Hope Jackson who is an Associate Professor of Surgery at George Washington University School of Medicine.
