Donald H. Glew Prize

The Donald H. Glew Prize is awarded every year to the medical student with the best abstract and poster presentation at Medical Student Research Day. This endowment was established by William B. Glew, MD '53 as memorial to his brother, Dr. Donald H. Glew, MD, a graduate of the MD Class of 1948.

This year’s awardee is Sanika Karandikar for her abstract and poster entitled, “Completion Angiogram after Infra-Inguinal Bypasses Is Associated with Higher Morbidities without Clear Benefits in Graft Patency and Limb Salvage”

Sanika’s mentor for this project was Dr. Bao-Ngoc Nguyen, Department of Surgery at GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
