While GW SMHS provides funding for PhD students, we strongly encourage students to apply for external funding. Having a fellowship during your graduate study will make you more competitive when you apply for a job after graduation. You should consider applications to PhD fellowships as well as travel awards to professional meetings. This listing below, arranged by application deadline, highlights many of the fellowships available. Please note that some fellowships are available only to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents, while others are also available to international students.
