The Center for Faculty Excellence is an organizational entity within the Office of Faculty Affairs & Professional Development. It is an identifiable “home” for teaching faculty that brings together all of the support required for faculty to participate in and contribute to SMHS’s strategic plan education goal of leading the nation in innovative education and training.
Purpose: To support the development of SMHS as the national leader in innovative education and training by advancing the scholarship and practice of teaching and learning.
Specific Aims:
1. Support faculty in delivering high-quality, innovative teaching and learning experiences.
2. Develop areas of inquiry that build education theory and advance education practice.
3. Promote the career development of individual faculty and students as education leaders.
