The senior associate dean for clinical public health was honored in a ceremony June 5.
Katherine Chretien, M.D., assistant dean for student affairs, and associate professor of medicine at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences, was elected to the executive board of the Northeast Group on Student Affairs.
Karen A. Wright, PhD, PA-C, was named assistant dean for student life and academic support of health sciences at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Wright is an assistant professor and interim chair of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies and the PA program director.
Vittorio Gallo, Ph.D., professor of pediatrics and of pharmacology and physiology, will serve as the associate dean for child health research - a newly established position within the school to enhance research relationships between GW SMHS and Children's National Health System.
Deb Dickenson, M.B.A., CPA, CGMA, was named assistant dean for finance, planning, and fiscal operations for the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Congratulations to John M. Young, DPS, assistant professor of clinical research and leadership at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, on his recent appointment to the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) board of directors. 
Mitchell R. Smith, M.D., Ph.D., has been appointed as the associate center director for clinical investigations at the GW Cancer Center. In this role, Smith will be responsible for overseeing all clinical cancer research and the clinical cancer research infrastructure of the GW Cancer Center.
