Dr. DeBritz's research is on surgical quality and disorders of the cervical spine. 

Research focuses on the pathogenesis, genetics, and pharmacogenetics of hypertension, including organ to organ communication, e.g., gastrorenal communication.

Research interests include mecanisms of renal injury and hypertension and genetics of salt sensitive hypertension.

Dr. Caggiula’s research interests lie in LGBTQ health and the development of educational initiatives in medical training aimed at addressing the needs of traditionally disenfranchised populations.

Research is on quality improvement, video game-related illness and injury, and emergency medicine operations.
