PT leaders from across the country convened at SMHS for “Preparing the Next Generation of Physical Therapists for Innovative Practice: Physical Therapy Leaders Networking to Transform Health Care,” July 25-26.
Carole Lewis, DPT, Ph.D., GTC, GCS, MSG, M.P.A., FAPTA, adjunct professor of physical therapy and health care sciences, was chosen as the 2014 recipient of the Excellence in Rehabilitation of Aging Persons Award by The Gerontological Society of America
Ellen Costello, Ph.D., associate director for the program in physical therapy, was mentioned as a keynote speaker for the upcoming conference, “Preparing the Next Generation of Physical Therapists for Innovative Practice,”  in Physical Therapy Products.
