The George Washington University (GW) School of Medicine and Health Sciences renamed the Department of Physical Therapy and Health Care Sciences to the Department of Health, Human Function, and Rehabilitation Sciences.

Steven W. Boyce, MD, selected to serve as chief of the Division of Cardiac Surgery at GW Medicine. He will continue to serve as a professor of surgery.
