Dr. Esther Roberts, clinical professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences, developed the Mental Health Program within the US Department of State in 1980. Today, thanks to Dr. Roberts' dedication, there are 22 psychiatrists headquartered around the world who are responsible for the care and treatment of US foreign service officers and their families.
