GW SMHS Medical Alumni, this is your opportunity to connect with fourth-years!
GW SMHS invites medical alumni to volunteer to host fourth-year medical students traveling for their residency interviews or who have matched in your area. Volunteers may invite a student for an overnight stay at their homes, take the student and his/her family out to dinner and answer questions a prospective new resident might have about the area, housing and moving logistics, the hospital, or what it means to be a hospital resident. Imagine how a friendly face with a GW background could ease the anxiety before an interview or in a resident's new surroundings!
This is a terrific opportunity for alumni who are not able to make it back to Foggy Bottom often, to stay involved with the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences and its current students.
By signing up as a volunteer you agree to allow GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences Office of Alumni Relations to share your contact information with medical students interviewing or graduates serving as medical residents in your area.
For questions about the Alumni Volunteer Host Program, contact Sylvester Owens, (202) 994-9762 or email@example.com.
See the residency match list for the Class of 2017.
The George Washington University is not responsible for any communication that occurs between students and alumni participating in the Host Program.
