Current research areas include alterations in muscle energetics in heart failure and diabetes mellitus, role of dietary sodium content in heart failure, and mobile health projects harnessing cell phone technology for the treatment of heart failure and diabetes.

Dr. Akselrod's areas of interest include HIV, opportunistic infections, travel medicine, and public health and studies the HIV-related processes in aging. 

Dr. Kaminski he is working to identify biomarkers that may guide future clinical trials in myasthenia gravis. He continues to study the basic biology of extraocular muscle.

Research focuses on using in vivo Ca2+ imaging techniques, mouse genetics and optogenetics to characterize malfunction of the neural circuit in mouse models of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and to explore the possibility of intervention and rescue.

Dr. Jonely conduts research related to pain management, particularly low back pain and pelvic pain. Her research aims to provide empirical evidence for physical therapy interventions. She has experience collecting and analyzing primary and secondary data. 

Research focuses on food allergies and clinician wellness.
