Student speakers for the Health Sciences and MD graduation ceremonies have been announced.

The GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences is pleased to welcome Barbara Lee Bass, MD, RESD ’86, FACS, who will serve as the keynote speaker at the GW MD Program Diploma Ceremony on May 19, 2019.

Before SMHS welcomed the incoming MD Class of 2022 during the White Coat Ceremony, first-year medical students, their alumni parents, and family members gathered for the annual SMHS Legacy Brunch.

As a child, Sushmita Malik, MD Class of 2020, loved to switch her television between her two favorite shows: “Arthur” and “ER.” Her fascination with emergency medicine never waned. “Someone comes into the emergency department with a problem and you’re there to fix it,” she says.
