Research Interests

Research investigates the interactions between HIV and cholesterol, including the effects of HIV protein Nef on cholesterol homeostasis and the mechanisms behind the effects of genes regulating cholesterol metabolism on HIV replication, latency and pathogenesis. Research also includes analysis of the effects of Nef on macrophage polarization and epigenetics.
