Office of Communications Receives Accolades for Publications

The School of Medicine and Health Sciences Office of Communications and Marketing took home high honors in three categories in the 2012 MarCom Awards competition. Medicine + Health magazine earned a Platinum Award for Writing in the Magazine category, and a Gold for Best Magazine in the Magazine/Educational Institution category. The Doctor of Medicine Program Admissions Handbook received an Honorable Mention in the Brochure/Informational category. The MarCom Award is a creative competition run by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals for public and private sector businesses and organizations involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials and programs. Corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and other communications professionals from the United States, Canada, and abroad submitted more than 6,000 entries in 200 categories for this year’s contest.
