Research Interests

Dr. Ritsema conducts research on the global development of the physician assistant profession, with particular focus on Great Britain. Her current research is one of the only studies to examine the proudctivity of Physician Assistants in Emergency Departments using a national clinical data set. She is  skilled as a mentor in facilitating faculty development for research skills and has expertise in evaluating the intersection of public health and medicine.
