Research Interests
Dr. Posnack studies the impact of environmental influences on cardiovascular function. Specifically, her recent work focused on how endocrine disrupting chemicals, which are used in the manufacturing of medical devices and consumer products, can alter cardiac electrical and mechanical function. Dr. Posnack's laboratory collaborates on a number of clinically-relevant projects that aim to improve patient outcomes following cardiac surgery and/or transfusion procedures.
