Dr. Birkmeier conducts research on the scholarship of teaching and learning with a focus on pediatric physical therapy education, assessment, curriculum design, and clinical education. Additionally she collaborates on clinical research for individuals with muscular dystrophy related to impact of primary and secondary impairments on overall function and quality of life.
