Dr. Young’s research is focused on deciphering the central nervous system mechanisms that contribute to the development of cardiovascular (e.g., hypertension) and metabolic (e.g., obesity) disorders, with an emphasis on endoplasmic reticulum stress, alterations in reactive oxygen species, and transcription factor activation.
