Event Description:
Microaggressions are pervasive in the healthcare setting and workplace. They are considered "micro" because of their subtlety, not their impact. This session is aimed to introduce how social systems of oppression, intersectionality, and bias lead to microaggressions. The audience will then be introduced to various frameworks to use when one has committed or faced a microaggression. The speakers will use case scenarios to highlight the impact and responding techniques to these microaggressions.

Speakers:
Dr. Amteshwar Singh, MBBS, MED
Dr. Ishaan Gupta, MBBS
Dr. Amitasha Sinha, MD
