Uniform Clinical Evaluation; formal case presentation

Description

During the four-week elective, students will engage in a comprehensive exploration of pediatric cardiology. This will involve rotations with the inpatient acute care cardiology service, active participation in inpatient cardiology consultations, and immersive experience in the cardiac intensive care unit. Furthermore, students will have the opportunity to become familiar with echocardiography, encompassing both performing and interpreting, as well as gain exposure to cardiac catheterization, cardiac MRI, and outpatient cardiology if interest is expressed. The emphasis is placed on providing students with exposure to the fundamental aspects of pediatric cardiology while crafting a customized experience based on their individual interests. Students are encouraged to participate in cardiology departmental conferences. There are no weekend commitments or on-call duties.
