Description

Individual electives arranged by students with health policy mentors of their selection may be available.

Course Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

  1. Explain US legislative processes related to health policy.
  2. Differentiate between the roles of relevant stakeholders (i.e. individuals, agencies, organizations, and movements) that affect health policy.
  3. Identify networking and health policy learning opportunities outside the university.
  4. Integrate knowledge base and skills to address current and future health policy challenges.
  5. Reflect upon the historical context of current health and health policy debates through an advocacy lens.
