Students are to report to residents for orientation and assignments by 7:00am. Page the urology resident for first day instructions.

Uniform Clinical Evaluation

Description

Observation of urologic conditions and procedures for diagnosis and treatment; radiologic and pathologic studies, endoscopy and surgery, collateral reading, weekly staff conference. Additional faculty: Dr. Timothy Schneidau, Dr. R. Andrawis, Dr. Daniel Stein, Dr. Robert Dean.

Course Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, the student should be able to:

  1. Explain the presentation of urologic conditions and the differential diagnosis of the presentation.
  2. Practice the evaluation, work-up, and care of urologic conditions.
  3. Perform a comprehensive genitourinary history.
  4. Perform an abdominal, pelvic, rectal, and GU examination.
  5. Perform basic surgical and procedural skills.
