Description |
This is a 4 week rotation for students with a special interest in neurosurgery. Each student will spend 2 or 3 weeks on the adult neurosurgery service at GWU Hospital, and 1 or 2 weeks (at the student’s discretion) on the pediatric neurosurgery service at Children’s National Medical Center. The student will participate in all aspects of neurosurgical care, including inpatient rounds, surgical care, outpatient clinic, and inpatient consults. There will be special emphasis on the neurological exam and understanding indications for surgery. The student will be expected to take call. |
