SMHS invited the Class of 1967 back to campus for Reunion Weekend and honored them with a luncheon where they were inducted into the H Street Society.

First- and second-year MD students participated in Community Service Day this year. The students worked on crafts for organizations that benefit children and animals.

The SMHS medical laboratory sciences program hosted a two-week summer immersion program for Loudoun County high school students at VSTC.

The members of the PA Class of 2019 received their short white coats at the Convocation and White Coat Ceremony on June 30.

Helen Burstin, MD, MPH, FACP, addressed faculty and students in the Department of Clinical Research and Leadership about the importance of eliminating measures that do not add value, in order to improve health care quality.

The GW One Health team was one of three winning teams at the 2016 One Health Day student competition. The team was formed to share the One Health Initiative with the GW community.

Qing Zeng, Ph.D., director of the Biomedical Informatics Cencer at SMHS partnered with a class at  T.C. WIlliams High School to develop video games that help children to understand and address health problems.

Graduates from SMHS health sciences programs received their diplomas on May 20 at Lisner Auditorium in front of friends, family and faculty. 

The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences Department of Dermatology hosted a free skin cancer screening on Thursday, May 4, during Skin Cancer Awareness Month.

The Primary Care Residency Program celebrated 40 years at SMHS in April. Attendees included former and current faculty, alumni, and current residents.
