WTOP-FM - Health Expert: D.C. Schools Did the Right Thing After Meningitis Death

Roberta DeBiasi, M.D., professor of pediatrics, was quoted in a WTOP story on whether the D.C. School District acted appropriately after a pneumococcal meningitis death, which is caused by bacteria. DeBiasi said the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, also known as Prevnar, is effective in reducing the amount of pneumococcal disease.
