SMHS Exceeds Fundraising Goal for FY14

SMHS's Development and Alumni Relations Office and Grateful Patient Program reports that private philanthropy has exceeded the target for FY14.

SMHS has surpassed its official attainment goal of $18 million, actually reaching nearly $21 million.

Of Note:

  • Alumni contributed $5 million
  • Friends (including grateful patients) made gifts amounting to nearly $5.5 million
  • Corporations and Foundations gave nearly $8.2 million.

This has been the most successful fundraising year since the start of the counting period for the GW Campaign in FY12.

On June 20, The George Washington University launched a $1 billion philanthropic campaign.
