GW SMHS Welcomes Leticia Hall-Salam as Director of the Office of Continuing Education in Health Professions

The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) is pleased to welcome Leticia Hall-Salam as the Director of the Office of Continuing Education in the Health Professions (CEHP). She joined the SMHS CEHP team in Feb. 2013.

“Leticia comes to SMHS with a strong background in continuing education programming. In her short time here, she has provided sound leadership and has been an asset to the SMHS CEHP team,” said W. Scott Schroth, M.D., M.P.H., assistant dean for administration. “She and her staff consistently provide stimulating programming that gives SMHS faculty options to attain the continuing education they need to stay current in their fields of expertise.”

Hall-Salam joins the GW team with over 12 years of experience in the development and management of education programs for health care professionals. Most recently, she served as Manager of Continuing Professional Education for the National Osteoporosis Foundation, where she led the foundation’s efforts in implementing accredited educational programs to assist physicians and health professionals continue their education in the field of bone disease. Prior to this, Hall-Salam managed CME programs for the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, Inova Health System, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Hall-Salam is a member of the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education and the American Society of Association Executives. She is also an alumna of Mary Baldwin College.
