Forbes - Can The Affordable Care Act Reverse The Long Standing Trend In Uncompensated Care In Emergency Departments?

Jessica Galarraga, M.D., M.P.H., a third-year emergency medicine resident, and Jesse Pines, M.D.,M.B.A, director of the Office for Clinical Practice Innovation and professor of emergency medicine and health policy, were featured in Forbes for their recently published research finding emergency department reimbursements increase after the Affordable Care Act insurance coverage expansions.

The research, titled "Anticipated changes in reimbursements for U.S. outpatient emergency department encounters after health reform," was published in the journal Annals of Emergency Medicine.
