Research Interests
Dr. Triplett studies the developmental mechanisms by which sensory information is brought together in the brain. Specifically, in the visual, somatosensory, and auditory systems, neurons are organized into topographic maps in which neighboring monitor adjacent regions of space. In associative centers, these maps must be brought into register in order to integrate sensory information.
