Research Interests

Dr Hermann's research focuses on  transition from student to professional practice, professional development and performance improvement, clinical reasoning, curriculum design, and educational innovations. She is skilled in the application of technology to create authentic classroom experiences bridging the classroom to the clinic, evaluating  innovative teaching methodologies,  inter-professional practice, professional development and life long learning. She has expertise in determining how systems thinking and systems-based practice are incorporated and assessed in health professional education  and in studying the impact advance practitioners have on resident learning the clinical learning environment.
