The TAP trial is a multinational, 120 center, randomized, double-blinded, placebo controlled study. The study is an EFIC (Exception From Informed Consent) study that will seek to randomize patients who present in hemorrhagic shock due to trauma to receiving prothrombin complex concentrate or placebo on top of a standard MTP. The purpose of this meeting is to appropriately notify our community about this study as a requirement for EFIC approval.

Babak Sarani, MD, FACS, FCCM, Professor of Surgery and Emergency Medicine, and the director, Center for Trauma and Critical Care at the George Washington University, will describe the trial and then questions will be taken via chat, following the presentation.
