Yavin Shaham, PhD is an internationally recognized addictions researcher who serves as the Chief of the Behavioral Neuroscience Research Branch and Chief of the Neurobiology Relapse Section of the National Institute of Drug Abuse of the NIH. Shahan's groundbreaking, clinically relevant research looks at neurobiological mechanisms of relapse to drug seeking and choice of drug versus non-drug rewards using animal models.
