Kjell N. Lindgren, MD, MPH, was one of 14 members of the 20th NASA astronaut class and served as deputy crew surgeon for STS-130 and Expedition 24 missions. He flew on Expedition 44/45, where he logged 141 days in space, participated in two spacewalks, and conducted more than a hundred scientific experiments. Lindgren, a board-certified emergency medicine physician, is currently in training to fly the NASA SpaceX Crew-4 mission to the ISS, scheduled to launch in 2022.
