Description |
Participation in patient management of office gynecology focusing on reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Typical clinical problems will include menstrual disorders (amenorrhea, oligomenorrhea, etc.), PCOS, premature ovarian failure, and infertility. Students will take part in daily assessment and management of patients; in addition, students will be able to observe diagnostic, operative and therapeutic procedures including hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and those related to in-vitro fertilization (oocyte retrievals, embryo transfers, intracytoplasmic sperm injection). Involvement in clinical research of IVF outcomes and/or clinically-oriented laboratory experience in in vitro fertilization is available.
