Description |
Students will have an opportunity to shadow a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain physician in a practice at Holy Cross Hospital. Students will learn about the management of chronic pain through a multi modality approach which will consist of interventional pain procedures (epidurals, facet injections, lumbar sympathetic blocks, discography, spinal cord stimulation, trigger point injection, platelet rich plasma, prolotherapy, joint injections, etc.) and medication management so students will be more knowledgeable, comfortable, and competent in managing complex patients who need opioids. Hours: 7:30-3:30. No call. Additional faculty: Virgil Balint, MD. |
