Description |
Each student, in conjunction with the course director, will develop an independent study program in environmental health. Areas of study can range from the human health impacts of specific pollutants such as lead or particulate matter, to broad topics such as air pollution or climate change. The student will use population, epidemiological and other data to describe the issue and evidence-based information to recommend a management strategy. In addition, the student will attend health-related legislative hearings and meetings with government officials and relevant organizations. |
