Description |
The gastroenterology research elective enables students with an interest in the field of gastroenterology and liver disease to participate in a learning experience that provides exposure to clinical research activity in gastroenterology and hepatology. Students have the opportunity to engage in the research process, including project development, data collection and dissemination of results. Research activity will be developed with the student at the time of the elective with the possibility of completing a publication by the end of the academic year. Additionally, there will be clinical exposure to patients who have gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders. Clinical activity may also include other divisional faculty.
