SMHS is on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. The social media team not only manages these accounts, but also works with faculty and staff in departments, programs, institutes, and offices to develop social media plans and coordinate content strategy for separate accounts. Social media coordinators across the school meet weekly to discuss content, troubleshooting, and general social media updates. This group also coordinates via the GWSMHS Social Media Users Slack Group on a regular basis. Content created by media relations, web services, and publications often appears on the school’s social media accounts. The social media team creates strategic social media campaigns around new initiatives and strategic areas, as well as social media event strategy and hashtags, and team members provide group and one-on-one social media training.
