COVID-19 didn't deter students from the excitement of the day. When the clock hit noon they gathered with family and friends around computer monitors and across D.C. and the country for a virtual reveal of their residency match.  
When the clock struck noon on March 15, fourth-year SMHS MD students opened letters that revealed where they would be spending their residency years.
Excited. Nervous. Hopeful. A little overwhelmed. That’s how Diana Lee described her emotions on March 16 as the clock slowly ticked toward noon, when medical students across the country discovered where their residency training would begin.
The noise of the crowd grew to a deafening roar in Ross Hall Room 101 of the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences (SMHS) at the Announcements that 100 percent of the Class of 2017 will begin residency training this summer.
