Hospital Satellite EDs - Quality Access to Care

Problem: access to care due to distance and overcrowding and expense.
Solution: bring the EDs into the communities they serve. By increasing the number of EDs this also decreases crowding issues. By being part of a hospital, we are also able to participate with the government insurance plans. With our hospital being part of a larger system, we are able to be in network with most insurances, thus further decreasing barriers to care.

Problem: quality of care.
Solution: by having a centralized quality assurance and performance improvement system (through our hospital), we are able to assure maintenance of quality care at all of the individual satellite EDs.
