Lena Volland will be the recipient of the 2019 National Hemophilia Foundation Physical Therapy Excellence Fellowship grant for my project "Analysis of joint characteristics, biomechanics, and neuromotor control during gait in persons with hemophilia". The purpose of this grant is to support researchers in the quest you improve the delivery of physical therapy care and expand the knowledge base as it pertains to hemophilia. All grant and fellowship applications are subjected to a rigorous peer review process. Applications are critiqued on scientific merit and relevance to NHF research priorities. Applications are reviewed and scored in terms of significance, approach, innovation, investigator, and environment. A volunteer group of scientific and lay leaders reviews applications received.
