Resident Bio

I’m from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and have spent my whole life living in and around Philadelphia prior to moving to Washington, D.C. for residency. I am a first generation American; my parents immigrated from China in the 1980s. Having experienced the cultural differences between America and China from a young age, I’ve always been interested in improving the immigrant experience. Having chosen medicine as my career, I’ve been particularly interested in the care of immigrant patients and the influences of culture on the health care experience. I love living in D.C. due to its diversity and its excellent food scene. Plus, I love hiking and the beach, which are both day trips outside of the city.
