Musculoskeletal Radiology

Residents rotate through musculoskeletal radiology beginning their first year and continuously throughout the four years. During this rotation, residents are responsible for the protocolling and image interpretation of all MSK studies including radiography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Additionally, the section offers a variety of interventional procedures such as arthrography, bone/muscle biopsy, diagnostic joint aspiration and therapeutic joint injection. Residents participate in multidisciplinary conferences in conjunction with the departments of Rheumatology and Orthopaedic Surgery.

Residents read musculoskeletal MRI examinations starting their first year and are encouraged to perform all procedures, often beginning at the end of the R1 year.
