Graduate Medical Education Linkages
The GW Post-baccalaureate Pre-medicine program has linkages with some medical and PA programs. This option allows well qualified students to apply to medical or PA school during the post-baccalaureate year. If accepted, these students can effectively skip the gap year and matriculate into a graduate medical program in the fall after completion of the post-baccalaureate year. Generally, the most successful candidates are those with strong undergraduate grades, demonstrated service and some clinical experience. These programs have varied requirements and the application process takes place after the start of the post-baccalaureate program.

Because there are many factors to consider when deciding whether or not to pursue admission through a linkage agreement, the program faculty and staff will work closely with students who are considering this option.
