Clinical Education

During the clinical phase, students participate in the care of patients under the supervision of clinical preceptors which include physicians, PAs, and NPs. Students are exposed to a variety of patients in the various clinical settings and are expected to participate in the care of both acute and chronic medical conditions. We have multiple clinical affiliates throughout Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland, as well as several in New England.

The clinical curriculum consists of seven core rotations and one elective. The core rotations include inpatient medicine, primary care, surgery, pediatrics, emergency medicine, women's health, and behavior medicine. Rotations are six weeks in length and occur in a variety of clinical settings. The order in which each student completes the rotations varies.
