PA Program Awards

Established in 2012 in honor of the program’s 40th anniversary, the GW PA Program annually bestows two awards to recognize outstanding individuals for their dedication and service both to the PA profession, as well as to the PA program and its students.

The GW PA Program Public Service Award is presented to a member of the GW PA community who has made important contributions to the advancement of the PA profession.

The Dr. Jules Cahan Distinguished Teaching Award is named after Jules Cahan, M.D. who for over 30 years supported and taught GW PA students. The award recognizes an individual for his/her commitment to the PA program and for providing mentorship and clinical education experiences for GW PA students.
